This place is the absolute best for falafel. The shawarma is great and so is the shish taouk! I recommend this place to everyone.
Very good tabouli and falafel. Frequently buy their tabouli en bulk to cater events.
Love this restaurant and this family! Have been coming here for years since I went to Wash U. There is no better falafel in St. Louis.
This little shop is a gem in the Delmar Loop. The chicken shawarma sandwich here is delicious. The people working here are also super friendly and welcoming to boot.
We're from out of town, saw this place recommended on Reddit and absolutely loved it. The falafel was wonderful, and the chicken shwarma had my brother licking his plate. If we were locals I could see this place being a weekly visit. The owner was so great, too. Spoke with her for a few minutes, she was full of personality and so kind. Cannot recommend enough.
So very yummy! I've been before and will be again because they're the best.
The shawarmas here are among the best I have had ever in my life....and I'm from the Middle East. Aside from the shawarmas, the hummus is also top-notch. And the family that owns/operates the restaurant is wonderful. Al-Tarboush has amazing and authentic food, super friendly service and great prices!
Quick and tasty. They are always friendly and helpful.
Excellent falafel sandwich! They put a wee bit of a mystery hot sauce on it by request and made it really tasty. High yum factor. Manager was patient with me despite walking in (unknowingly) close to closing time.
Best falafel in St Louis!!
Consistent quality for 20+ years. Always good.
A terrific place to grab a quick casual lunch. Good food and friendly staff.
Best Falafel in town. Friendly family run place.
Such great food! Never had a bad experience. The owner and staff are always very friendly.
One of the best felafel sandwiches in city and certainly the best in the Delmar Loop. This humble and always friendly establishment creates an essentially perfect and classic felafel sandwich I love. Fresh lettuce. Fresh tomato. Felafel that's often fried fresh as you come. Tahini, and the option to "make it spicy" or add feta cheese, which I occasionally do. And this gem of a place stocks premade hummus and baba ganoush you can walk in and buy for your home.
The shop keeper is so nice and helpful.I tried and loved the Shish Tauok and falafel. I cant wait to go back there.
Best falafel ever...
Friendly staff but the food did not meet expectation.
Best baklava I’ve had in a really long time. The salad and shawarma were really good too.
Wow! Service is wonderful, food is incredible. We had the Chicken and Beef Shwarma with a side of green olives and fries. Everything was great. Tatziki sauce made shwarma exceptional. Someone was raving about the chicken Shishtaouk... apparently amazing as well... definitely will order next time!!
One of my favorite restaurants. Family run. Great people. Delicious food. I ordered the spinach fataya and grape leave rolls for a party and they were a big hit.
My go to Middle Eastern place in STL. Family owned, great prices, the BEST falafel and tabouleh, garlic sauce is addictive. My usual to go order is falafel or beef gyro, and I pick up deli groceries for home: baba ganoush, tabouleh, hummus, garlic sauce, turnip pickles, olives, feta, and bread. They also sell houkah stuff if you like that. If you want great food go!!!!
Great food and Jojo os the BEST! ALWAYS smiling and very sweet...... Great local place
A great Lebanese deli. Go there for the Falafel and Tabouli.
Not exactly high end, looks like it has been there a while. A friend with Lebanese heritage took me to the place to try something "new" for me. So we had hummus plate "spicy" and kafta and it was good. Stop in and give them a try
Fresh falafel, pleasant place, nice people.
Best deli I've been too in the Lou.
The best lebanese food 😉
I’ve been going to this place for over 20 years. It was my introduction to many foods from the Middle East. Still one of my favorite stops to make when I get over to the Loop.
This is a small family-run place with outstanding food, friendly service, and bare bones atmosphere. I recommend the falafel sandwich or the shish taouk sandwich.
The owner is a sweet sweet man! This place is a treasure. I LOVE getting hummus here.
Hidden gem. The food is excellent and the atmosphere is very casual and welcoming. Inside is not fancy, so if you are looking for linen napkins and fine china you will have to look elsewhere. If, on the other hand, you are looking for the best middle-eastern food in St. Louis served on paper plates, this is your place.
Good god, I miss this place. I used to go there at least once a week when I lived in St. Louis over ten years ago. It makes me happy to see that it's still going strong and has been for at least 20 years. At the time I used to go, it was a father and his two lovely daughters running it. I commented on how much I loved the music they were playing that the oldest daughter made me a mix CD of Middle Eastern music. I still have it and have converted the files to mp3, which I listen to currently. Such great food and great people. Next time I'm visiting my mother in the Louis, I'll definitely stop in for my usual falafel.
Best falafel in the Midwest, hands down.
I had the falafel plate. It was so delicious and filling. The owner was gracious and kind.
I'm always down for falafels and this place is my favorite in STL. Their prices for the portions you get are awesome and not to mention all great quality, authentic food. I'd always prefer to go here over and other mediterranean/lebanese joint in the loop. The family that runs the store is always so hospitable and serve the food quickly and as if you're sitting down to eat in their own home. I've also purchased a hookah here and can say that the quality is unmistakably authentic and will probably last a lifetime. I will always support this establishment and I hope many other people find this hidden gem!
Very fast, excellent, and friendly service. The food is affordable for its serving portions and delicious. I love giving them a visit.
quite tasty and really helpful nice service. they like to chat about stuffs
Quiet, cheap, and quick. Perfect lunch spot with tasty, fresh-made food.
This is a childhood establishment for me. Overall this is where you wanna eat no matter what. I promise you can't go wrong. Shouts out to papa. And Gina and sisters
Great falafel wrap
Excellent food and service. I love eating on folding tables in little stores, extremely fresh. Loved the stuffed grape leaves.
Best falafel in st. Louis
Fantastic. Terrific family/staff. Delicious food made with care. Cannot recommend highly enough.
The best falafel in the city! Their fresh hummus is better than anything at the grocery store. Buy a tub of the fresh garlic paste and put on absolutely everything.
Good food and good service
The original Mediterranean Food House of Saint Louis University City @West Gate &Delmar. I suggest everything on the menu..especially the grape leaf Sharma...!!!!maybe add chicken if your extra hungry!!!! Just a chill spot to grab food and relax. Theres no liquor...but you can always stock up on rose water...or orange blossom water Its across from Ranoush....
Even though they forgot to include the garlic past for the fries and tomato on the hummus, I still rate this food a 5! Very good and will buy from them again. Yummy.
Been going here for years for quick bites! Great food!
Are you kidding? It's the best. Period.
